What Causes White Spots In The Throat And Swollen Lymph Nodes?

End of day 5 on #32 extraction. Pain on check bone. White spots and raw throat. Swollen glands ear pressure and jaw pain along with temple headache on side of tooth extraction. Is the pain which is severe taking pain pills every 3 hrs hydrocodone mean i have a related infection?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The pain you describe may be as a result of tooth extraction. However, with red spots in throat, swollen glands, an associated throat infection (viral or bacterial) should be eliminated. You may see your doctor again for examination. In addition to your pain drugs, your doctor may also prescribe antibiotics to treat or prevent infection post tooth extraction.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mbuomboh Veranso
