What Causes White Spots In Throat And Sore Neck Glands?

I'm 47 5'3, 130 lbs, had cervical steriod injection at C6-C7 on Monday, yesterday felt like allergies bothering me and as the day went on felt like my glands in my neck were sore, then I looked in my throat and had white pus looking spots. Have not had fever even tho I feel warm like I do have it, everytime I take my temp it shows anywhere from 97, to 98. Can all this be caused from my steriod injection.

Sorebthroat with enlarged lymph nodes,with presence of white spots could be due to follicular tonsillitis caused by strep infection.Such infections are tackled by antibiotics (amoxycillin) and warm salt water gargles.The steroid injection could be a coincidence,it has nothing to do with tonsillitis.
