What Causes White Spots On Throat While Suffering From Tonsillitis?

Hi, I have been having white spots on my throat since January. I have visited the doctors 5 times within these past months. At first they said I was positive for Strep and they provided me with antibiotics. It went away, then it came back and they gave me another medicine. It disappears then keeps coming back. And another doctor then said I had tonsillitis. I have already changed my tooth brush 5 times, gargled with salt water, coughed (which helped remove it), and floss and gargle on a daily basis. I don t have any fevers or other symptoms mentioned, and they said you would only remove your tonsils if I have difficulty breathing etc. My left tonsil is bigger than my right and the white spots keep switching between tonsils. I don t know what else to do. It bothers me that it is there.

Based on your history this is recurrent tonsillitis due to Streptococcus. In such cases surgery removal of tonsills (tonsillectomy) is the best option of treatment.
