What Causes White Spots On Tonsils Along With Inflammation?

For about a month, I ve had a sore throat on and off. There were white spots on the back of my throat and my tonsils were inflamed making it hard to breathe. I was tested for mono and strep but both the tests came back negative. The white spots have somewhat gone away, but my tonsils are still kind of inflamed. I thought it might be tonsillitis, but I m not entirely sure.

Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

White spots on the tonsils are due to infection ACUTE TONSILLITIS , use ANTIBIOTIC Tab.AMOXICILLIN 500 twice daily for 3 days.

Use Warm water gargling twice daily.

Consult an ENT doctor.
