What Causes White Spots On Tonsils?

My 5 year old has white spots on her tonsils and a fever of at least 101.3. She has had a fever for at least 2 days and has complained about her throat for 3 days. the strep test just came back negative. They are sending it out for culture. They did not give her antibiotics because test was negative. The Dr. was very surprised the test came back negative. She is prone to getting strep throat. If it is not strep, what else would cause very white spots on her tonsils? Thanks!

Hello, Welcome Thanks for consulting HCM,
I have gone through your query, you have small child that is suffering from fever and white spot on tonsils , dont worry it can be due to throat infection also, do warm saline gargle two - three times a day , if your problem continues then consult child specialist.
Hope this will help you
