What Causes White Spots On Uvula?

My throat has been a little tender the past couple of days and I just looked at my throat in the mirror and see a couple of white spots on the uvula. I am wondering where this came from. Could it be the icy cold weather and wind and dry heat? A virus?

Dear thanks for the question.

You have got infection in your throat. It could be viral as well as bacterial. If I were your treating doctor I would have gone for swab examination taken from white spots, blood work up for infection and started antihistamines (cetrizine) , pain killers (paracetamol) and antibiotics depending on the swab test report.

I would like to advise you to visit a general physician in your area or ENT specialist if available to under go physical examination and laboratory tests to come with definitive diagnosis and then treatment.

I hope i have clarified your queries. Do write for follow up questions. Please rate my reply. I wish you good health. Thank you.
