Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..

As per your complain swollen taste buds over the tongue seems to be overgrown and inflamed taste buds and it commonly occurs if there is not periodic shedding of the taste buds that must occur in every 2 weeks and it can also lead to entrappment of bacterial and food debris leading to swelling and pain..
The white patches seems to be apthous ulcers or canker sores.
Hypersalivation or excessive salivation seems to be due t oral inflammation and infection that is leading to irritation of salivary glands thereby producing more saliva..
I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated as a proper clinical examination is a must for planning proper treatment..
As of now you can gargle with a numbing mouthwash t relieve pain..
Take anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen..
You can suck ice and drink plenty of cool water..
You can use a tongue scraper to clean your tongue to remove debris accumulation and helps in shedding off the overgrown papillae..
Take a multivitamin tablet daily..
Gargle with an antiseptic mouthwash for reducing infection..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
