What Causes White Vaginal Discharge After Taking Primolut N?
i have not seen my period for a month now. I have an irregular cycle which ranges from 35-50+ days and i have done a pregnancy test which is negative. I took primilout n fr five days and after i discontinued, i started having white vagina discharge. What can be the cause?
According to your history the possible causes of your symptom are: - During the second half of the menstrual cycle, especially during the premenstrual period, under the influence of progesterone hormone increased thick vaginal discharge can be seen sometimes. - Primolut-N contains progesterone is can also lead to the same effect but drug-induced. - Pelvic inflammatory disease, some times can present with increased vaginal discharge.
Vaginal wash with PH between 3.5 to 4.5 can help in decreasing the physiological vaginal discharge and also drug induced vaginal discharge. If the discharge persists even after using the wash, better to consult your gynecologist and get the examined to find out the possibility of pelvic inflammatory disease, in that case you may need systemic and local antibiotics to treat the problem.
