What Causes Whitish Discharge After A Miscarriage?

I had a natural miscarriage about a week ago(no D & C was required). Now I am still spotting but I do get egg-white like mucus discharge with blood. Is it possible that I may be ovulating so early?/. If not, does this discharge mean some kind of infection ??
