What Causes Wiggling Sensation In The Left Side Of The Abdomen?

Having what feels like wiggling around in colon (left side of abdomen)...almost like a baby inside wiggling around but no pain. Will do this off and on for a few hours then stop and may not happen again until the next day. Has been going on for about two weeks off and o n! Can actually see movement on the outside when it happens. Did not know I had to pay...not able to do so. Thank you anyway.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

These symptoms suggest you might have some infection in the gut that causes gas. I would advise to avoid sweets, avoid too much milk.

You may get a stool examination to see for any infection especially like amebiasis or giardiais and get treated accordingly.

I hope it would be fine, it didn't improve you better see your gastroenterologist for proper assessment and management but I hope it won't be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Mahboob Ur Rahman , General & Family Physician
