What Causes Wild Dreams And Headache When Delay In Taking Effexor?

I am on Effexor slow release. If I am just a half an hour or more late taking it (from my regular schedule which is at night,) I end up having wild dreams all night and wake up with a headache at the base of my skull. I feel unwell for the whole next day. It happenes almost every time that I know there is a correlation but my GP doesn t seem to think there is any connection. I would very appreciate your comments and assistance, Thank you.

Hello,
This is quite an unusual presentation but can be seen in some.people on effexor.

Best approach is to take the daily dose in divided form , more at night and a part in morning/ afternoon time.

With this there will be better control in blood levels and reduced decline in effexor levels.

if any day this happens again, you can take zolpidem 10mg - will take.care of sleep and you will be fine next day to work.

I hope this helps you
