What Causes Wisdom Toothache In Condition Like Tonsillitis?
Hi I have tonsilitis and have been given penicillin. The tonsil that Is swollen the most is my right one. Now my right bottom wisdom tooth has started hurting and I can only open my jaw to a certain point will the penicillin help with the infection? Also I will note that my tooth has been needing to come out for a long while. Has the tonsilitis aggravated my wisdom?
Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query. The wisdom tooth infection has nothing to do with tonsillitis. It can aggravated when the immunity goes down or virulence of microorganism increases. Nothing to be panic consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can take metronidazole along with amoxycillin. You need to take a radiograph to check whether sufficient space is available for the tooth to erupt. If there is no space in the jaw to accommodate the tooth then it has to be removed. Do saline gargling. I hope I have answered your query. Take care.
