What Causes Yeast Infection With A Sore Throat?

Hi, I have had a pretty bad yeast infection on and off for a couple of weeks now. In between each yeast infection, I would have sex with my partner. We have only just recently started seeing each other sexually, but are monogamous. I also have a sore throat. Could this be something more?
