What Causes Yellow Cheese Like Vaginal Discharge During Pregnancy?

I'm in my 7th week of pregnancy and noticed a lentil sized amount of yellowish cottage cheese like discharge wheni wiped. I was not itchy but i've been wiping more to see if there was any additional discharge and am now feeling a little irritated down there. No bad smell. Is this normal?

Hello ma'am and welcome.

Cottage cheese like vaginal discharge is usually suspected to be a yeast infection, and this is common during pregnancy. In most cases no medications are prescribed during pregnancy, but I do not think there would be any harm in prescribing anti-fungal medications and so please do schedule an appointment with your doctor for further evaluation and management. In the meantime, please make sure you keep your genitals clean and dry, and avoid sexual contact in all forms.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
