What Causes Yellow Crust Formation In The Ear Of An Infant?

My infant baby girl of 2.5 months old Has a yellow crusting and build up in the ear. She is slightly agitated , no.fever so far . Keeps shaking her head from side to side and putting her hand towards her ear . We being new parents have noticed that she had a dry skin on her eyebrows which had become red . A Dr advised baby lotion for dry skin another said use fusudin ointment . After which had reduced considerably . She still continues to try and rub her eye brows . Could the rubbing t be cause of the ear? What could yellow crusty build up in the ear be .?? Please advise Thank you

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The yellow crust in the ear seems to be epithelial cells encrusted as part of a normal physiologic process.

Local cleansing with sterile buds is the only measure to avoid secondary infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel,
