What Causes Yellow Discharge Through Ears With Bad Odor While Suffering With Cold?

I recently got a pretty bad cold. Lot of snorting up mucus and coughing up phlegm.i started having pains in my ear. The pains have gotten worse and now my is leaking this clearish yellow liquid that smells really bad. Any ideas on what this might be? Will it heal on its own? Should I see a doctor? thanks

hello, thanks for your query, in severe form cold , ear drum will get infected and burst open and discharge the pus through perforation(hole) in ear canal. any way it will heal on its own, see to that, not to allow water per ear. visit an ent surgeon for your cold and perforation of your ear medications. hope i have answered your query. all the best. take care.
