What Causes Yellow Eyes Along With Swollen Abdomen And Feet?

My stepdaughter has yellow eyes and skin a swollen abdomen and feet. Despite eating and drinking she hardly ever urinates and very seldom has bowel movements. Any ideas? She had a ultrasound today and they did see something but told us they would call us by Friday.

Hi
Welcome to HCM.
I appreciate your concern for your daughter.
I can understand her problem.

After having gone through the history given in your query, I am of the opinion that she is most likely to be suffering from cirrhosis of the liver which has resulted in development of yellow eyes and the skin, accumulation of fluids in the abdomen and feet causing ascites and feet oedema respectively.

She needs to be examined by a doctor for proper assessment, she may need some lab tests and an ultrasound to confirm the diagnosis of the liver disease mentioned above.

Hope this answers your query. Wishing your daughter a very good health.
