What Causes Yellow Penile Discharge And Painful Urination?

My friend told me he is having a yellow discharge and painful urination the discharge is been every day for a few weeks but its not a constant pain or anything just discomfort, we had sex about a month ago and he didnt want to tell me because he thought it would go away. i had sex with someone else about a month before i slept with him. im gonna make an appointment to get checked out but what does that sound like he has, mind you he has been encarcerated for sixteen years and i was the only partner he has had since he has been released.

Hello,

Yellow discharge & painful urination are symptoms of UTI, Urethritis, STI (gonorrhea, trichomonas, chlamydia).

He is suggested to visit ER & get physically examined. Get CBC, Urinalysis (R/E & C/S) & STD tests done. Get him treated at the earliest.

His treatment will depend upon the severity of the pathology detected. He may need a course of antibiotics or antivirals.

In the meantime help him stay away from addictions if any else the efficacy of the medications will get reduced.

Avoid sex for a couple of days while the treatment is being done. Avoid multiple partners. Avoid oral & anal sex to stay away fro STI.
