What Causes Yellow Stool After Taking Augmentin And Prednisone?
hI, i RECENTLY HAD A VERY BAD COUGH. MY DOCTOR PRESCRIBED AUGMENTIN AND PREDNSONE. NOW MY STOOL IS LIKE A COPPER COLOR. MUSTARD YELLOW. I THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE BECAUSE OF THE MEDS I WAS TAKING, BUT I STOPPED TAKING THE MEDS A FEW DAYS AGO AND I STILL HAVE DISCOLORED STOOL. WHAT COULD IT BE BEFORE I START GOING FOR A BATTERY OF TESTS?

Hi,
This could be because of the protozoan infection, make sure you don't have associated abdominal pain or fever too.
Second reason is side effects of antibiotics, it remains there for some days after you discontinue the medication mostly the steroid ones.
You don't need to worry but for your satisfaction, visit a gastroenterologist or physician for further evaluation.
