What Causes Yellow Tongue With Bitter Taste During Pregnancy?

Hi - I am 26 weeks pregnant and the last few weeks I have noticed a yellowish coating on my tongue and I often have a bitter taste in my mouth. What do you think could be causing this? I am 38 years old, weight approx 70kilos and height is 170cm. -- Thanks!

Hi, I have gone through your question. The yellowish coating on your tongue can be due to deficiency of vitamin B or rarely, it can be thrush.
If your oral hygiene is proper, then do take multivitamin capsules.
I suggest you to consult an ENT specialist to get properly examined, investigated and treated.
If it is found to be thrush, then do get your blood sugar levels testing done as thrush is more common in pregnant women who develop gestation diabetes mellitus.
