What Causes Yellow Vaginal Discharge And Severe Vaginal Itching?

I have been diagnosed with PID, so I was put on azithromycin (oral suspension, 1 gram one-time dose), doxycycline, and metronidazole vaginal gel. My symptoms prior to dx were malodorous light green/yellow discharge, and itching. I am on day 4 of the metronidazole gel and doxycycline and I am experiencing chunky white discharge with no odor but unbelievable itching and swelling of the vulva. What do I do and do I need to make another appointment with my doctor?

Hi I think you need some antifungal drugs orally as well as vaginal also along with the antibiotics. Consult your doctor regarding this. Use some vaginal wash to maintain a normal ph of vagina. Hope it helps.
