What Causes Yellowish Brown Vaginal Discharge?

Iv been in utrogestan 200mg for 10 days, inserted twice a day thru vagina. Completed the 10 days, 5 days ago and so stopped using it. All throughout usage have had whitish cheesy oily discharge, then discharge also of dark brown. Now the dark brown and whitish discharge stopped. But yesterday morning went to the bathroom, i noticed a dark yellow brown liquid discharge from tissue wipe and found a pinhead red blood. Yellowish brown discharge went on and off whole day. Then this morning, i went again to bathroom and this time color is beigy, it seems theres mixed of blood. 2nd bathroom trip, color of discharge with tissue is again yellowish brownish. What seems to be the problem? Im quite sure this is no longer a discharge from the utrogestan. Please help. Very worried. Doctor prescribed me utrogestan before due to heavy bleeding at the outer placenta. Thank you very much in advance.

Hi dear!

Thanks for consulting the Physicians at HealthCare Magic. I have worked through your case thoroughly, and I can easily realize your health worries. Being your physician, I reassure you not to worry as things will settle down very soon.
It seems to be due to Bacterial infection. Normally bacteria are residing inside vagina all the time. But an abnormal bacteria when comes in or overgrows a population of bacteria, causing a Bacterial Vaginosis. Fishy foul smell, white to brown discharge, Itching/irritation inside vagina/vulvar area.
Consult your gynaecologist to take a sample of discharge and get it tested which is the causative agent. She will then prescribe medicine according to the test reports.

May you get very well soon and have a wonderful time ahead. Please don't forget to give your valuable feedback to help us assist you in a better way. Click at 'I Find This Answer Helpful' & give a five Stars too. Write a review about your experience with me.
