General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Your child is having jaundice (piliaa if you are Indian), though it is very common in neonates, jaundice at 2 years of age always asks for finding the underlying cause. Since blood tests are normal haemolytic diseases are ruled out. Increased bilirubin level is harmful for growing brain of the child. I will recommend you consult a pediatrician again and get some tests repeated.

Thanks for writing and do ask if you have any further queries.

Regards,
Dr. Akash Kumar
