What Causes Yellowish Skin After Cut Knuckle?

Hi I cut my knuckle about a week ago. It started to heal but tonight the skin was white after I washed my hands but once it dried it was yellowish so I pull the skin off. I am constantly washing my hands or using hand sanitizer. Is it possible that this has delay the healing. Could the cut be infected.

Hi

You seem to have developed an infection over the trauma area.
It is good that you are using an antiseptic hand wash every time but sometimes such infections can occur in skin wounds.
Any kind of increased redness pain swelling or yellowish discharge from the wound is an indication of infection.
You should keep the affected area clean and dry .
Apply a topical antibiotic cream like neosporin over the affected areas twice a day .
You might need a course of oral antibiotics in case the infection tends to persist .

Hope it helps
