What Causes Yellowish Vaginal Discharge Along With Itching In Vagina?

I am 49 and in the midst of menopause. For about a week or more, I've had a yellowish/pink watery discharge with a lot of itching. This happened about a month ago and my ob ordered an ultrasound probe and urinalysis and everything came back fine. It seemed to happen after I had sex with my husband and wondering if it has something to do with the latex contraceptives that we are using? Or if it has something to do with menopause...my ob didn't think so. I'm desperate because the discharge is so frequent I have to wear a tampon ...otherwise I soak my pants and the itching is unbearable.
