What Changes In The Diet Can Be Implemented In A Diabetic Patient?

My husband, age 41, weighing 70kg, had got a general health checkup done which concluded that he is a diabetic. Blood sugar fasting was in the normal range - 108 but HbA1C was 6.7. His B12 was also very low - 122pg/ml. It was very puzzling because our daily diet is 3 rotis, vegetables, dal and a cup of rice. The only thing different is that for the past few months he had 3 toasts for breakfast or cereal (normal cornfalkes) without sugar. Earlier it used to be cereal or some cooked beans or sprouts etc. We are not able to figure out where the change needs to be implemented. We dont have a habit of having desserts or fried foods.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern your husband's fasting sugar is alright and even HbA1c also okay this may not be taken as for diagnosis of diabetes, in my opinion better get done the RBS and then PPBS with urine sugar too, as you have mention here your eating habit you need not to take any extra precaution even if it ever turn diabetes ( The chances of this is very minimal) hope this information helps you, have good day.
