General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Noted you had hepatitis c and it is resolved.
But confirm your negative hepatitis c report with ELISA or molecular methods.....

In chronic liver affection by chronic hepatitis or cirrhosis there can be chance for development of encephalopathy ....
Serum ammonia estimation useful for it....
If ammonia high encephalopathy suspected and treated with lactulose or neomycin....

If you have negative hepatitis c then no need for worry.....

The sign and symptom of encephalopathy are sleep disturbance, tremors , ataxia etc..

Hope your concern solved.

Take care.
