What Could SGPT 144.8 Level In Blood Test Suggest?

What is the best management for all my abnormal bloodtest?i am female, 44 y/o, hypertensive, hyperthyroid. i have thyromegally with bilateral nodules, sgpt level 144.8 ; TotaL cholesterol 268.6 ; Triglycerides 179.5; HDL 59; LDL 184; VLDL 36. my current meds are PTU 50mg twice a wk; candesartan plus 16mg/12.5 OD; procosa OD, co-enzym Q10 OD, Fish Oil OD, Vit E OD, Vit B Complex OD. i am experiencing joint pains and needle-like peircing on my heel of both feet.

Thanks for writing to HCM

Increased SGPT indicates liver injury.
Increase in SGPT may be due to many reasons like hepatitis,alcohol intake,altered lipid profile,medicines,auto immune causes etc.
In your case,increased SGPT is related to altered lipid profile.

You need few more investigations like random blood sugar(RBS),renal function test(RFT),GGT level,viral markers,complete liver function test,urine RE/ME.

You should avoid red meat and high fat milk products.
You should avoid fried and junk food.

Medicines should be prescribed after complete investigations.
I suggest my patients to take tablet ursodeoxycholic acid 300 mg twice daily after food for three months.This help in regeneration of liver cells.
I also suggest to take tablet atorvastatin 10 mg single dose at night(after dinner ) to my patients.
