What Could A Brown Spot On The Toe Be?

I have a brown spot on my left toe. I noticed a few days ago when I was at nail saloon getting my pedicure. It looks like a bruise but I don t remember injuring it. My last pedicure was done on July 21 before I delivered my baby girl. I m worried could it be toe melanoma.

Hello,

I can understand your concern for the brown spot on the toe. You have not mentioned your age, sex and related medical history so that I could have helped you better.

I suggest to keep a watch over the spot and in case if the area increases in size or show any changes like itching, any pain or burning sensation or Sudden change in size then you should immediately report to a dermatologist. In general a spot kind of thing is never a melanoma and is most commonly simple lentigens.

In case if you feel any of the changes then can get it excised and then get a biopsy done for the spot so that you should relax completely.

All the best.
