What Could A Lump Appearing In Vaginal Area Be?

my mom recently found a quarter size lump in her vaginal area and says that it hurts. a couple weeks prier to finding this she had bad blood clots come out, almost like you would while having a miscarriage, but she can no longer get pregnant. I m not sure that these two things have anything to do with each other, but before making a big deal out of it she wanted to see if it was anything serious. thank you.
