What Could A Lump In The Scrotum Be?

I ve recently noticed a lump within my scrotum, I am currently 18 years old, and work as a full time EMT, obviously with myself being in the healthcare field i am familiar with what this could be and although i don t want to expect the worst (a cancerous lump) i am worried that is what it possibly may be. No trauma has been associated with the appearance of the lump and it just appeared. the lump does not cause any pain or discomfort although it is visible, upon sitting or laying down the lump does protrude and looks like it would be part of the testicle, however upon feeling it, it is clearly not connected. it is soft and squishy not firm, and again does not cause any pain even when touched or gently squeezed. it currently rests above the left testicle and there is not the same mass over the right, if you have any further questions please let me know and i will do the best that i can to answer them. thank you for all your time and help

A painless lump above the testicle is what is called as Spermatocele or Epididymal cyst .

It is benign in nature and does not require any treatment unless there is sudden increase in size or gets infected .

Do not worry it is not cancerous at all .
