Hello , my Dad has a lump in front of his ear , about the size of a quarter or a little bit bigger. It s hard, he said he s had it quite a while . When he was in the hospital in sept having knee surgery , one of the Dr s spotted it and had it biopsyied. The results came back non cancerous. Today however , he said it feels like it s in his throat now as well. Any ideas what it could be ?
It could be a swollen lymph node or abscess. Consult an ENT specialist and get evaluated. If there is diagnostic confusion a fine needle biopsy may be required.
