What Could A Moving Lump In Upper Right Buttock Indicate?

I have a lump in my upper right buttock that seems to be in the subcutaneous fat area, it seems like I can move it within a small radius, isn t very tender to touch unless aggravated by me thinking its a muscle knot and trying to roll it out, I have had a muscle knot in this exact location before so I thought it was a recurrence however this feels very different. Size of a small egg. Please help, what is this and can I take care of it in home?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms can be related to a muscle knot. I suggest using an anti inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen to relieve the pain. I also suggest using warm compresses for local application.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
