What Could A Penis Glans Rough Patch Be?

so last night i gave oral sex to this guy ive been dating and felt some kind of single rough patch on the tip of his penis the patch was the same color as his skin. it didnt seem to hurt him at all. but my oral sex was unprotected. what could that of been?
