What Could A Red And Hard Lump Under Skin On Chin Mean?

I have had a hard lump appear under my skin on the left side of my chin in the last two days. It is about 5mm long and 3mm wide. The skin above is red and it hurts when I touch it. I thought it was acne first but the lump seems to be under too many layers of skin to be that.

I've also had tooth pain for 6 weeks. I'm seeing a dentist regarding the teeth but could the lump be related? Facial Cellulitis connected to a tooth abscess?

Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
Yes, the lump could be related to the tooth ache. It could be an acute lymphadenitis ( swelling of the lymph gland into which the infected tooth drains into). You will need a course of systemic antibiotics to treat the same.
Hope this cleared your doubt.
Take care.
