What Could A Small Hard Lump Near The Adam S Apple Of A Child Indicate?
Hello! My son (age 7) has a small, hard bump on his neck, just above and to the right of his Adam s apple. He says it hurts a little bit. No redness, no drainage in his throat, and no other apparent symptoms. It is one of those things that show up now and then, or something that needs to be monitored?
Hello, I had gone through your query and understand your concern.
Your son seems to have enlarged lymph nodes. It is common if your son has any infected tooth, gums, tonsils, sorethroat etc. If Your son has any of these condtions get him treated for the same. As such there is nothing to worry. This is a common thing which happens with everyone.
However, if there is any increase in size of the swelling, or if it is persistent then your son need to be evaluated by an ENT specialist.
Hope this helps.
If you have any other queries, feel free to ask.
Regards,. Dr.Prathap Kumar
