What Could A Small Mass Inside Vagina Indicate?

I see a small mass inside my vagina. A bit smaller than pea in size. Its visible only after I spread labia minora a little. Its a little too thick to be hymen. Shouldn t there be just a hole? When I masturbate, I have to go under that mass. What is it? I have seen pictures on Google and I couldn t see such condition anywhere. Please help.

Thanks for posting in HCM.
The small mass what you have described must be 'bartholin cyst'. It can range from small size of that of pea to the large size of marble.
This occurs when Bartholin duct that drains the glands gets blocked and the fluid builds up in the gland. It usually grows slowly. The cyst can get bigger after intercourse as the glands produce more fluid during sex.
In case it becomes bigger and infected, it will transform into 'Bartholin abscess'.
Since the cyst is small in size, you can try 'Sitz bath'.
It is soaking in a tub filled with a few inches of warm water 3 to 4 times a day for 3 to 4 days may lead to small cyst to rupture and drain on its own.
In case it gets enlarged, you may need surgical drainage done using local anesthesia. You may require antibiotics also depending on the severity of infection. Kindly consult Gynecologist in this regard, if required.
