What Could Aching Ribs In Chest At The Age Of 86 Indicate?

Occasionally, when I wake up in the morning my chest case hurts and feels like collapsing. After few steps this feeling ends. Are 86, stick walking every day one hour; had a heart attack 23 years ago. Rhythmic disorders now. Could the aching ribs be a signal of some kind of serious problem?

Hello welcome to HCM. First of all i want to know where you are feeling the pain in the chest. Your symptoms indicates of three possibilities. First one, i suspect that You may be having acidity. More acid is produced in the stomach which is splashing up towards oesophagus which is present behind chest, hence you are feeling sensation in the early morning. It will be burning type and this sensation also felt in the neck. For this you have to take proton pump inhibitors like omez-40mg once daily half an hour before break fast. Every day for ten days. All the problems will be relieved in early. .
Second may be some abnormality with heart. Pain will be like some weight is there on the chest. sweating will be there.To confirm getting ECG is must. Then take advice from the physician.
least possibilty- simple chest muscle spasms. For this plain analgesics will relieve the symptoms.
