What Could Ankylosing Spondylitis With A High ESR Level Suggest?

Hi. I suffer from Ankylosing Spondilitis, Crons and Uveitis in both etes (full hit Im afraid). I have been on various anti tnf drugs, the latest being Infliximab, which has not worked for me. When I come off the drugs my ESR levels rocket, the last one was 163 and I get extreme immobilising pain. I am now on steroids, which are helping, but will be starting Humira and methotrexate in the near future. I worry how high my ESR goes, yet seem to struggle to get prompt help when I know they are heading that way. How dangerous are these levels? I am a 54 year old, female with a positive attitude to life fortunately. :)
