What Could Be Cause Of Swollen Tongue And Sore Throat?
Hi, Last week I had laproscopic surgery for endometriosis and am taking vicodin and ibuprofen for the pain. Since the surgery I have had a sore throat and two days ago I developed a swollen tongue and have a whitish/yellowish substance on it. Is this a side affect of the surgery and meds or should I be concerned?
Hello, Whitish substance should not be a problem but tongue should not get swollen . You should consult your doctor and get examined as there could be a reaction to a drug causing the swollen tongue. The reaction would have been less but might increase later, if medicine is continued. Ibuprofen could be a cause for the drug reaction . But i would suggest you to get examined as without examination its difficult to comment anything. In doubt do reply
