What Could Be Causing My Hair Loss After Moving To Paris, And How Can I Prevent Further Hair Fall And Promote Regrowth?

I moved to paris from india 4 weeks ago, and i think after 1-2 hair washes after coming here is when i started noticing that a lot of my hair is falling out. when i pull my hair with the slightest force, a lot of fail falls out and if my hair is wet, it falls out even more. and I dont know if im not shampooing properly or its some kind of issue where even after washing my hair, the back on my head still remains greasy from the roots. the recent major changes in my life would be environmental change obviously and I think it might be diet as, as students we dont really have time to cook proper meals while managing studies, but i’ve had poor diets before coming here too and my hair was okay that time. and another change is that paris is really cold for me, ive never stayed in cold weather like this. I was facing hairfall even before this but it wasn’t so prominent but i used to think that was because i used to bowl dry my hair and straighten it lightly after showering for almost 6-9 months. but I haven’t used any styling products (dryer and straightener) after coming to paris expect in the first week i came here, i used it once. so i want toknow the cause of my hair fall and how can i prevent it and regrow the hair that is lost ?

Hello,

Your current hair fall is likely due to a combination of environmental, nutritional, and scalp-related factors and deficiencies. Moving countries, irregular meals, and colder weather can all make deficiencies worse for iron, vitamin D (low sun exposure in Paris), zinc, biotin and other B vitamins and protein intake.

Increase your protein intake, take eggs, paneer, lean meat or red meat whatever available. Take iron supplements and also vitamin B supplements so that your hair stops falling. Prioritize regular meals, hydration, and sleep and be patient with hair growth. To stop hair fall, use a shower filter as Paris water is hard. Use a gentle shampoo suited for oily or combination scalp.

Massage your scalp with almond or rosemary oil, not just your hair, with your fingertips. Massaging helps better blood circulation and healthy scalp and hair. Take enough vitamin C and D. Rinse thoroughly (at least 1–2 minutes under water). Use a herbal conditioner. Never let your hair get dry. Dry hair has a tendency to break and fall. Use a deep conditioning mask once a week.

Use a leave-in conditioner or hair serum to protect hair. Get your hair trimmed. Keep it short if long hair is unmanageable. Avoid using coconut oil for hair in cold countries. Get few tests done like tests for iron, vitamin D, zinc, B12, and thyroid. You will be accordingly treated. Make sure to get enough protein daily, 1g per kg of your weight. Be patient and work on your hair as advised it will stop falling.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
