What Could Be Gray Blemishes On The Lower Part Of Sclera? Are They A Sign Of A Problem?

my 13 year old daughter, who wears glasses for slight near-sightedness, has some light-purplish or gray blemishes on the lower part of her sclera scattered across. More in the right eye than the left. What are these gray blemishes and are they a sign of a problem?

Hello
It seems from the history that your daughter who is having refractive error is having grayish blemishes on the lower part of the sclera.
This can be because of thinning of sclera usually seen associated with high refractive errors. No treatmet is required for this condition but she requires examination of the retina to rule out retinal degenerations associated with myopia and other high refractive errors.
Hence I advice you to consult eye doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
