What Could Be The Black Spots On Kidney Shown In Ultrasound?

My mother had an ultrasound today. They spent over twenty minutes on one side and took photo s of black spots on one kidney and also the gall bladder. Results have to be reviewed by radiologist then sent to the doctor in a few days. Wondering what the spots could be?

Nephrologist 's  Response
Hi, welcome to HCM.
Looking to your mother's history, it seems that black spot on one kidney on USG may be due to cyst in kidney.
But, it may require CT scan with contrast to stage it and decide further plan of action.
Don't get worried.
You can communicate further with me with above reports.
Best wishes. TC.
