What Could Be The Cause For Abdomen Pain During Pregnancy?
I am 19 weeks pregnant, and my stomach hurts. at first i thought i just had a virus, but after a week and a half and nothing changing I m unsure of what s going on. it feels as if say you had the flu and the next day your stomach is achy and you don t want to eat,yet you re not throwing up or anything. Obviously i am pregnant so i force myself to eat, but once i eat i feel so sick and my stomach hurts worse. no matter what i eat. this is my third pregnancy and I ve never had anything like this. also, shortly after eating something i need to use the bathroom... and have cramps.
well at 19weeks pregnancy , with the increasing progesterone level , the peristalsis gets slower and dyspepsia ( or troubled digestion) is a common feature . if your feeling of heaviness or pain is associated with food intake, then chances are that due to increased acid production instomach , gastric mucousal lining is getting denuded and causing ulceration , which is causing the pain. the remedy is to start taking smaller and frequent meals say 4hrly instead of 8hrly meals. also take more of roughage in diet with increased water intake. nextly you may start TAB RANITIDINE HYDROCHLORIDE 75mg twice a day along with your iron and calcium tabs. iron per se is known to increase dyspepsia, so you may stop your iron for a week and watch and then can restart later, if oral iron tabs are the cause then syrup iron may be tried , which often are well accepted by patients.follow this and i am sure you would be benefited.
