What Could Be The Cause For Delayed Periods?

first day of last period july 6. had unprotected sex 3 on july 11. 5 hours later drinked the morning after pill. i am 2 days late. took a urine test on 8/3/11 by doctor. negative. took home pregnancy 8/7/11 negative. took another pregnancy test urine test 8/8/11 negative by doctor. can i be pregnant from that ocassion and not showing after all this days?

it is unlikely that you could be pregnant. Emergency contraceptive pills are highly effective when taken within the required time period (i.e. within 72 hours after the sexual intercourse).

Another reason why you can not be pregnant is that, you had sex just 5 days after you saw your menses. Unless you have a really short cycle.

Emergency contraceptive pills are hormonal pills and hormonal pills are known to create modifications in menstrual cycle. So it is less likely you are pregnant and the delay is due to the emergency pill.
