Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have cough, wheeze, smell from mouth and loss of taste . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query , but in you case it seems to me that the upper respiratory track infection has spread down the respiratory track and to surroundings . It usually occur when it left untreated and low immunity . Weight loss indicate serious conditions like tuberculosis and COPD . Loss of smell and taste also occur due to infection . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doctor may order throat swab test , chest X-ray , blood test and viral culture test . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics at least for 15 days ( amoxicillin or penicillin ) along with decongestant and anti inflammatory . Doctor may also refer you to chest specialist or neurologist for loss of taste and smell . For now do warm saline gargles and maintain proper oral hygiene .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
