I am a 54 year old male, I developed sudden hoarseness, no trauma, no respiratory illness, had root canal surgery on one tooth 3 days ago--taking Tylenol w codeine for pain, what could be cause for hoarseness? There is no pain or discomfort in my throat/neck area.
There can be many reasons for hoarseness of voice including an allergic reaction to the fillings used for root canal and the medications that you may be on. since you dont have any other symptoms i, i would like you to wait for 2-3 days and just take steam inhalation 2-3 times a day. If however your hoarseness persists or worsens , i would like you to meet your ent doctor for examination and further advice.
Thanks
