Hello,

No focal lesions, no tumors, cysts, or abscesses have been found in your ultrasound. No biliary dilatation also means the bile ducts are normal. without any obstruction. You have an enlarged liver with homogenous echotexture which indicates fatty liver (early stage), viral hepatitis A, B, C, or recent viral fevers can cause temporary enlargement before texture changes.

It can also be due to obesity, diabetes, or high triglycerides. Alcohol use, even occasional, can enlarge the liver before showing echo textural changes. You are advised to quit alcohol and alcoholic beverages, also avoid eating fatty food. Eat home made food that is boiled and well cooked, avoid spicy, hot fried, oily food. Take water after boiling and cooling it. Stay hydrated and avoid unnecessary medications (like painkillers or herbal supplements) as they also cause liver enlargements.

You are advised to get clinically examined by a local GP and get liver function tests (LFT) to see if liver enzymes or bilirubin are elevated. Also, get lipid profile, blood sugar, and viral markers (HBsAg, HCV, HAV IgM if recent fever) checked. If your LFTs are normal and you have no symptoms like pain, jaundice, fatigue, nausea, this could just be a mild, reversible enlargement. However, if you also have shortness of breath, ankle swelling, or heart irregularity, it’s worth checking your cardiac function too as it relates to cardiac issue that needs to be treated.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
