What Could Be The Cause Of Sore Throat And Pain In Sinus?
I am a 44 year old woman. I have no health issues that I know of, however I have had a sore throat for several weeks. Not sore when food or drink goes down, but like the muscles hurt when I swallow. Also feels like a chunk of mucus between nose and throat most of the time. Sometimes this pain is in sinus or tooth area also. Should I be concerned?
Hi, thanks for your query. In my opinion, you might be having upper respiratory tract infection. If I were your treating doctor, I would have prescribed penicillin antibiotics + anti inflammatory medicines like paracetamol + diclofenac combination drugs, for 3 to 5 days. Steam inhalation daily twice. Betadine mouth gargling also can help you better. Avoid cold and oily foods. Keep yourself warm. hope my answers have helped you. Thanks.
