What Could Be The Cause Of Soreness Below The Breast After Breast Lumpectomy?

i had right breast lumpectomy in 2012 and even though i generally feel ok, the right breast gets tender from time to time. More recently, I have experienced soreness just below the breast - the pain is hard to pin point but it seems to be sore under the ribs and a little swollen - and other times, the soreness just disappears. what might this indicate ? Thanks Alice

OB & GYN Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

This could be due to lymphedema and fibrosis. Physiotherapy can help move you arm and pectoral muscle. Oil massage can also help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Richa Agarwal, OBGYN
